Talking Still-Life

solo audio performance | 2001

Duration 6 mins

Talking Still-Life was a commentary about objects on a table. Inanimate objects were given as the site of consciousness – except for a hand and a foot which failed to have autonomy.

The commentary disintegrated the observer, who projected his thoughts onto the things he saw rather attributing them to himself as a subject.

Performed by Gary Stevens.
